DutchOpenSeries (DOS) Points
The point system that is in place for the Player’s Championship is rather simple. For each DOQ you visit you will receive at least 1 Dutch Open Point. If you make it to the Top 8 of a DOQ you will receive bonus points for your achievement. This also applies for all the Dutch Open Series main event(s). Since the Dutch Open Series events are larger in scale and an overall harder field of player’s you are rewarded more points for those events:
Seasonal / Yearly point leaders explained
Each season (total 4 per year, each yearly quarter is the start of a new season) the Top 3 of the seasonal leaders will earn an invite to the Players’ Championship. If somehow players are tied for the Top 3 we will use the following parameters to determine a winner (in that order):
- How many event(s) did each player enter, player with the least participated events wins – since they were most efficient per event. If that is tied we will use the next parameter:
- Amount of Top 8’s in that season (DOS & DOQ events both count), if that is tied we will use the next parameter:
- Amount of DOQ event’s won that season, if that is tied we will use the next parameter:
- A play-off (on the next Dutch Open Series weekender) between players to determine who will earn the invite, format will be Modern and will be a best of 5.
At the end of the year – the top 10 players of the yearly leader board that don’t have an invite yet will also receive an invite to join us at the Players’ Championship.
