About us

Dutch Open Series 2015

The Ultimate tournament experience, in your backyard!

With the changes in the PTQ structure we felt an emptiness in The Netherlands regarding big, high-stakes, events. We wanted to change this for the better of the Dutch Magic community. In 2015 we started with the very first Dutch Open Series hosted at the Spellenspektakel. Our first edition hosted over 420 unique players throughout the weekend, with over € 7.500,- in prizes, a great weekend.

Our ultimate goal is to unite all the Dutch TO's (Tournament Organizers) to host a national ladder system for all the Magic players in The Netherlands, with the Dutch Open Series as a main pillar to grind some extra points while battling for great prizes.

ABOUT OUR TEAM

Rudy Meijer
Rudy Meijer, Owner GOAT-Enterprise & co-founder Dutch Open Series
Rudy is known for his great card collection (former owner Magic-United) and for being one of the most thrustworthy traders in the Netherlands, if you need any card - Rudy has it in every edition, foil & non-foil. Business is taking all his time so he hardly ever plays Magic, if he plays - his insane limited skills are feared among the dutch!
Charly Traarbach
Charly Traarbach, TO 4YourGames & co-founder Dutch Open Series
Passion for the game and it's vibrant Dutch Magic community, Charly regularly plays Modern tournaments and frequently visits GP's in Europe. He has his own media company and is organizing Dutch Open Series because he feels the Dutch community deserves big, GP like, events on a frequent basis!

The Dutch Open was my first event besides a FNM. Great experience to play against people from other countries, different level of experience and most of all...new opponents.
